Just a few points:
1) Memorial day would be the weekend after Moab people would return home so you'd probably rule any of them out (Rob and I included)..
2) Fathers Day is June 19th and while it'd be great for a Fathers Day retreat, most of you haven't been bringing families, and I'm sure all the mom's out there don't think a weekend alone with the kids is a great way to spend Father's Day.

Way too early for me.
So what are these trails like? More gnarly then Uhwarrie??? I will have my front locker in by then so I am just wondering what I am looking forward to.
What about the weekend of the 25th and 26th. Seems like a good date to me. It is also just two days before my birthday.

Whatever dates works best for the group entirely. I'm gonna try and come, but for me, the later the better, so June 25th and 26th would work out great.
I might be able to swing a Sunday and Monday, but I would rather be there on a Sat with most of the group, so i'll try and see what I can do this time.
BTW- is there usually a big group still left on Sunday or is that the day most people leave?
later, Angelo

any weekend is good for us,I guess. since it's such a long drive . I will get more info in the next few days.
I will check and see if Crackersneck is still officially open also. That will open up more trails, same pass will cover both places.
Are the trails knarlier than Uwharrie???
Yes and no,there are trails equal to Uwharrie and ones we won't try,or should I say can't try in the Turtle....... at least not without a support crew. And most of you know The Turtle will try anything a couple times.
What I know:
Crackersneck has no bathroom/showers. Callantee has small bathroom and I think showers, will check.
This is fairly primative camping,I will check on electric, hookups.
There are some cabins availible at Callantee.
There is a mud pit/obsticle type course, that will get you either real stuck or a free trail pass.
Fastfood, grocery store, gas etc. is 15 min. away from Callantee.
I will check on the local hotel and find out what it cost's----it is between Callantee and Crackersneck----in town.
mmmmmmmmmmm well I'll talk more later.

I know I wont be bored with my company, but what about the trails.
Other than that one trail are there option lines and stuff to play on? Something like the side routes on rocky mt?

From what IÆm seeing, if it werenÆt for R-O-B-B-Y, it looks like everyone would be OK with the weekend of June 24-26.
(Way to go, Bubba! )
Seriously, Broà Is there any way that you could duck-out on seeing your parents until after the weekend in question? --- Or have they already forgotten what you look like?

Other than that one trail are there option lines and stuff to play on? Something like the side routes on rocky mt? From what I saw last time i was at Crackers Neck, there were very hard parts that took me an hour to get through and had to winch 3 times. Sorry to say, i didnt get a chance to really explore Crackers Neck, but I was told there were alt. to go around most of the trails. It was winter when I went, so the snow and ice covered rocks/ boulders were a little tricky. BTW- are there usually still a large group still left behind on Sundays or do most leave Sat. later, Angelo

I vote for the 24-26. Sorry Robbie, but the dates have sucked for me for all the last handful of uhwarries so I need to go with one that works for me this time around.
