Well, now that the Sequin Conflict of 2005 has now officially come to a stalemate (i hope to god), yes, lets try this thing that some call "organization". <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

So ANYWAY.......I think we could really maximize the amount of time we are on the trails by getting to the gathering point BY 9:00 in the morning. Sign ups would be great, but not neccessarily necessary.

I just know that i would like to wheel with some Isuzu's this trip. As wierd as it sounds, at our own event, the only people that were in front of and behind me most of the day were jeeps and Yotas. And they bested me all day long.....I want to run Wolf den to Dutch john, To Rocky Mount Loop, or if The Dutch John Hill climb is still inpassable, take Slab pile and Saw mill to Rocky mount. At any rate, i have a tree on rocky mount i want to get even with.....Oh, and i want to do a night run too. Only got to ride along on one of those last time.

Whats the new policy on getting in and out of the campground after last Uwharrie? I remember we had some trouble with that.

We'll figure it out...

Roll Me Over
I'm up for some hard departure times as well. I like to eat lunch around noon and dinner around 6.

I'm sure there will be more than one group going out at each time in the morning, so we can have an organized group and a whatever group.

Oh, one other thing, anyone interested in a 12 bolt 4.56 third member that's been welded? I'll deliever to Uwharrie. If so speak up.

Joe

I was unaware that anyone had any trouble getting into (or out of) the campground last timeà but I suspect that it most likely had something to do with someone in another group acting-up/mouthing-off, and getting the gate locked. --- Unfortunately, it happens sometimes.

JanetÆs Policies:

The Gate:

Although the Official Policy states that it is to be locked at 10 PM, in conjunction with the established Quiet Hours (10 PM û 6 AM) - Janet typically leaves the gate open all night, unless someone gives her a reason to do otherwise. --- A loudmouth jerk in another group can - and sometimes does - mess it up for the rest of us.

Night Runs:

Those participating in Night Runs are to leave the campground before 10 PM û unless Janet says otherwise.

If dinner runs late or such û if you ask her, there is a very good chance that she will give her blessing to a later departure time. --- However, night-run groups are expected to respect their fellow campers upon returning to Arrowheadà as such, we are all supposed to drive back into camp in a tight, single-file formation - as slowly and as quietly as possible - heading straight to our respective parking places, and turning off our motors as soon as we can.

However, this DOES NOT mean that all groups must remain together from beginning to endà If a group of 10 vehicles go out on a night run, and at some point 7 decide to return to camp, while 3 remain out on the trailsà the 7 should all drive into camp as a group û and then later, whenever the remaining 3 return, they too should re-enter the campground together as a group.

The emphasis here is on how quietly we return to camp, and on minimizing how much it might disturb everyone else in the campground. --- Our group has always done its absolute best to adhere to the rules, so weÆve never really had any problemsà but there have been times when other groups have screwed it up for everyone else û including (on at least one occasion that I know of) returning to camp from a night-run to find that the gate was locked.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
With my ticking, I'm pretty sure returning quietly to camp will require a tow strap. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

I'm a fan of some scheduling too, and will side with the prevailing opinion that noon and six sound like good times to eat, and 9AM sounds like a good time to go drivin...

Wherever the sign up sheet is, I'll sign up. I'm not too concerned about WHICH trails I go on, just that I get out there. (And mostly get back)

Ok' set times are <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Also bring your lunch with you!!!!!!It is a waste of time to leave the trails and drive 1/2 hr + back to camp, eat, round everyone back up and drive back to the trails. That just plain <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />

We did something similar at Callantee and we stay'd on the trails pretty much all the time.

So the costume party will be friday or saturday night <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

..... Play that funky music whiteboy ......... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
