I have a brand new 245 brigestone that came on my Passport(the spare) free, just speak up. I just want rid of it.
I'll bring it ti Uwharrie as well, I'm already carting a bunch of other stuff down as well.

Hi all, I am thinking about making the trip, but only for a couple days. I have a montero roughly 3-4 inch lift on 32s. Might have a front locker before i go. LSD rear. Trying to find cheap nice rock sliders. Front bumper with 8274. I say only for a couple of days because I dont have camping gear anymore. I am from New Orleans and my house is flooded for the 2nd time in a month. The first time was to the roof. Along with my Raider that I used for offroading, and my project 1 ton 4 Runner and parts Mitsu. How cold is it usually? How hard are the trails (i dont want to crush rockers yet)? I do have a sleeping bag. Could I sleep in my truck?

Howdy Sparkem,
IÆve been reading what youÆve been going through lately, over in the Mitsubishi Talk Forumà Words cannot express my feelings for your losses. --- May you be back to 100% ASAP!
As for attending Uwharrieà Brother, you would be most welcome!
And to answer some of your questionsà
--- While rocker protection is always a good thing, honestly, unless you plan to venture over onto some of the harder optional lines, you probably wonÆt need it. --- This will be my 10th trip to Uwharrie, and IÆve only had Rock Bars for about the last two. --- I never received any damage without them û and with them, IÆve only dinked one once (while trying something harder than before).
--- The trails themselves are somewhat mild overallà until it rains, anyhowà then itÆs a whole `nuther ballgame! --- Still, as described, your Monty should do just fine.
--- There are lots of us who only attend for a day or two, so thereÆs no problem on that front.
--- Sleeping in your vehicle isnÆt a problem either û IÆve done it several times myself.
--- Weather-wiseà Bring everything from some shorts & T-shirts to some sweaters, long johns, and a warm jacket. --- You never what to expect there in October. --- I've seen it like summer, and I've seen it almost like winter (one time, all in the same trip!)
Just make your way over to Arrowhead Campground, Site #37à the details will take care of themselves.
Cheers! Smiley

That sounds awesome. I am going to try to make it. I am going back to NOLA this week and plan to stay a couple weeks. I will try to make it back to my dads in SC in time for the trip.
I will probably only be there for a couple days. What days do most people go, what would be the best days to go? I am going to see if my bro in his Montero wants to go to.

What days do most people go, what would be the best days to go? The main days are Friday and Saturday. Usually, people are packing up and heading out on Sunday. Personally, I plan on getting in Thursday night, and leaving Sunday morning. Hope to see you there Andre

Sparkem, i dont think you would have any trouble on any of the trails, especially if you are locked in the front. The only trail you might have difficulty with is daniel, because the condition of it, as of yet, is still unknown(?). HOPEFULLY we will be leaving here friday noon/afternoon and get there early friday night. Its about a 5 hr drive (depending on how fast you go/want to go with a 4000lb trooper trailering behind you...). Maybe we can even make the night run. Is dinner on friday night? On another note... Is anybody bringing their dog? Im thinking of bringing my mutt, Zoe on her first trail run. She loves people/kids and will do just about anything for a bellyrub/ handshake. (she also loves to do the BANG!/play dead trick.) 1 month, 2 days and counting!!! -J

Me and Van, and Zman2day may be caravaning up I-85 that day. I say MAY because we will have to coordinate meeting points for 3-4 rigs. You and Van are pretty close to each other, if you are in Anderson. Ill be coming from Athens, Georgia, and Zman will be coming from Hotlanta. We'll see as it comes closer. -J
