Nice!

I don't think we'll have any trouble finding enough steak lovers to make them disappear.

My record in Uwharrie (or anywhere else for that matter) is something like Thirty-Six or Thirty-Eight 14-oz Ribeyes, prepared on a single grill at one time --- Granted, it was a very BIG grill!

Which brings up the issue of cooking themà
The large Uwharrie fire pit/ grills can only handle about 6 (maybe 8) steaks at a time û and lack the ability to control the heat as much as one might like. --- The supplementary charcoal grills that were added to the campsites a while back are your typical poll-mounted variety û with room for 4 (maybe 6) steaks.

Using all four of the grills at sites 35 and 37 û with 2 primary Chefs, and perhaps a runner or two - we might be able to pull it off.

When are you planning to arrive there </> which night would you prefer to earn your Uwharrie Iron Chef Merit Badge?

Cheers!

Well I had planned on getting there on fri. evening, maybe 6:30 or so. I hope that works out ok. We can sure try to make it work, those grills will make due, if not I have lot 39 (I think?) If it has a grill we can fire it up if need be. JOE>

Yeah, weÆll figure it outà but based on your estimated arrival time, we might want to think about waiting until Saturday night to fix those steaks û otherwise, we might not have time to make it out for our Friday night trail-run. --- DonÆt worry; weÆll have some refrigeration options available to us.

The problem with the gears was not the money, but the availability. It is ironic however that now after i do the SAS on the Amigo & it's drivable, i'll do the long arm suspention on a '94 Rodeo (almost just as i started out in the first place).

Smiley, after my last Uwharrie try in cooking a large meal i'll pass on offering my services as a cook, but as Doug can attest i'm pretty good in helping. So count me in as an assistent cook.

Rubo û without a doubt, the meal that you prepared was utterly and truly deliciousà

(ItÆs just that none of us were aware that having an authentic Armenian Shish Kabob meant that raising the animals and growing the vegetables was part of the preparation time )

I just looked over on ReserveUSAà
What the heck happened? --- It's saying "no sites are available".
I canÆt even get to the page that lists the campsites (reserved or not).

So are all the sites reserved? I'm considering making the trip down before I move the Jeep to the west coast, but I'm getting the "no sites are available" from the ReserveUSA site as well.

I'll be paying someone some cash for half of their campsite as well.

I do have an Isuzu T-case available now as well. I had plans for a doubler, but those have changed. $100 delivered to Uwharrie. From the 4L30E family. Non SOTF. Perfect time to get rid of SOTF, or to install Tera Low gears.
