Will it be TWO RUNS û one in September/October, and another in November/December...

-OR-

Will it be ONE RUN û most likely in October, like usual???

I vote for a single run closer to the close of the Uwharrie season.

Don't forget there's the Tellico run in August, and we just got done with the Callhante run in June... my concern with a Sept Uwharrie run would be packing them in there too tight, not allowing enough recoupe time (money, time off, spouse time, etc.), and attendence suffering from all events as a result.

You know me, I'm almost always game, but what makes these runs fun is the people that attend (esp at Uwharrie, which is otherwise somewhat dull for me personally). Attendence at east coast events has always been challenging, I just wonder how a run per month will effect that. just my thoughts for what its worth....

Either way, I don't care what the dates are. I usually can swing it. I just don't know what is going to happen when I get my transmission pulled. That thing is making some funky noises. I think the gremlins in the transfer case turned on me and started using the trans as a jungle-jim because it sounds like marbles are rattling around in there! If I can't get the Taco fixed, we might just be camping and bumming rides. I have the 88 Toyota also, but it needs a timing chain. Oh yeah, there is that little project that was started last year - the kitchen. [Linked Image] I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed. My money tree isn't to big right now either and if I have to shell out for a used($500) or a new-rebuilt($1005) transmission, that is going to stink. You get the picture......

OK, just throwing out some dates - How about:

First weekend of November-
November 4-6, 2005

This is far enough away from the holidays still and also brings some pretty mild weather to the area as well.

Cheers,

I talked to Rubo a couple of nights ago, and he said that he wouldnÆt mind if the Fall Uwharrie happened on or around his birthday (mid-ish November)à

But after reading BansilÆs post (with StephÆs schedule information) - IÆm wondering if maybe we should start a pool to see how long it takes him to change his mind!

my fall break will most likely be around that same time as Turle Too, but my birthday as well as johns are also mid november so I'm down for either one, all-though when I think about it I beleive that I prefer the october idea better, just because there is more of a chance that I will still be able to wear shorts and take the doors off without worrying about it being too cold........
