Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hola to ya'll. My name is JC. I've finally made it through this entire thread and really want to join everyone at Uwaharrie, realizing this notice may be a bit late. You all seem really excited about it and it sounds like a great time. I recently moved to the East Tennessee area from Bowling Green KY and have yet to mingle/meet any Zu folk around here. I live in Church Hill TN now. Anyway I've been chatting about this with Bansil for a bit and depending upon fundage , and if the 3.4 swap goes along as planned , I may be able to make it. It would be just me I suppose. I have camping gear and really no need for a site with electricity or anything, just anywhere you guys could squeeze me in (not on a trail). As much as I would love to follow along on trails, this is my only reliable transport to and fro work . A few weeks ago a rod bearing started showing off so I took it to a mechanic who agreed to swap the 3.4. He tells me that it should be finished by tomorrow (uh...riiight). By the way, this site has been incredibly helpful in my search for info about the 3.4 swap. You guys all seem like some really cool people. Hopefully by the weekend of the 28-30 my baby will be crawling again and I will have put some mileage on it prior to making the drive. I'm looking forward to crossing paths with you all, if everything works out. So Smiley if you would please....I MAY BE joining the crowd.

I think you could run Falls Dam without any worriesà there are really only two obstacles worth mentioning, and theyÆre both optional, with plenty of room to get around them. --- Still, itÆs completely up to you û we donÆt believe in doing the peer pressure thing (at least not to first-timers, anyhow).

Why? Why would you do this? Im really wanting to know now. Maybe your friend in The Mule?

J.C., glad to hear it! And really, there is no worry about the trail difficulty. I went through 85% of the trails last time with little to no difficulty, on 31" AT's. Pretty much just like your truck(minus the 3.4, of course!) My truck (and most other people's too,) is my only means of transportation.

And if you dont want to wheel your truck, i might have a seat open for you.
