It'll be nice to see you all! -Mols

The original Crawloween has been held in Moab, Utah -- there may be other events with the same name out east now.

The one in Moab is NOT being held on Halloween weekend, as has been the case for most of the past few years. The motel rates in Moab typically drop starting Nov. 1. So it's just after that. It's not "organized" by anyone, there are no pre-determined trail runs, and there's intentionally never any website or public announcement about Crawloween. That's for the purpose of agreeing with BLM requirements of keeping it very low key and fairly small so no permits are required. I know this because I've attended a couple Crawloweens in the past several years.

This is true, and with that I would guess the dates are going to be Nov 4, 5, 6. Although, some may want to go the weekend before.

Usually the "group" gets a discount at Big Horn Lodge(or is it Red Cliffs, I can never remember which is which) Usually around $40/night.

Hope to see people there.

Steve

Actually..... that was why the first one was called that, but then we realized that rates go down Nov 1st, so..... it's now always the first weekend of Nov due to the drastic rate drops

:EDIT: Didn't read Jef's post all the way through....

I called and got reservations at the Bighorn for the 4th -> 6th

They got me a rate of $39.95 for Crawloween members. Give 'em a call:

PS: I also talked to a certain Californian yesterday. Seems he needed to know the dates for Crawloween so he could make it out...

I usually stay at the Motel 6. Rates were around the $38.00 range and they have a killer hot tub...perfect after a day on the trails.

On a sad note, I probably won't be able to attend Crawloween for the first time in years. Out of vacation time and money.

Have fun everyone,

Bump for some numbers...

Who's thinking of going? When is the first day of trail runs? (Friday the 4th?) I think there will be between 3-4 toyotas with me - so add those to whoever is coming from the Isuzu side...

Mmmmm What happens when you breed an Isuzu with a Toyota?
