[Arriving a little late to the party û Long story; donÆt have time to tell it! ]

As Robby said, he and I have talked on the phone a couple of times this weekendà He was really chomping at the bit to attend the next event, seeing as how heÆs had to miss all three of them this year. --- IÆm glad to see that everythingÆs been moving along so smoothlyà

Heck, it seems weÆve already got ourselves a date!

Like Robby mentioned earlier:
In order to keep an Updated Attendance List and such, I will be putting my usual 1st post over at Planet Isuzoo from now on - but donÆt worry, everything else will remain exactly the sameà Everyone can continue to post here at 4x4Wire, just like normal.

I believe IÆll give it until the weekend before creating the calendar/info page, just in case anyone wants to put the stink-eye on April 6th-9thà but if no one objects between now and then, it sure sounds like a plan to me!

Welcome to the Family, Mark!
(And yes, we sure do seem to have a lot of Marks in our group! --- It kinda reminds me of that Monty Python skit; the one where everyone was named Bruce. )

And æno worriesÆ about your Trooperà
IÆm sure youÆll be just fine, no matter how far along you are with your modifications by then.

Oh, and Angelo û I think if you put a couple of spaces here-and-there in your signature, it might prevent the right-side margin of all of the threads that you post in from going off-screen

Better-now!- I guess the spaces look better than the (-) My sig was too long so I had to shorten it up a bit.

As far as the next Uwharrie, I need to come out there and wheel with you guys. Its killin me! I'll know as time gets closer, but we have plenty of time to catch up and get things ready. What weekend are the zuks and rovers doing their April runs? I'm ok w/ any weekend dates that do not overlap. They're all nice guys, I just hate the extra traffic.

According to the zuwharrie bbs site, the suzukis are aiming for april 21-23, but it's not set in stone yet. my local suzuki friend cannot confirm that date. i will keep in touch with him and let you know when they finalize the date.

That weekend sounds good,it's not that far away when you put in all the cold, snowey, frozen days and nights that we can't work on our junk outside

See you all in april,

Doug, I know that youÆre planning to pour a concrete pad and build an outbuilding / carport at some point in the not-too-distant-future, but until thenà this 30 x 50 heavy-duty tarp (or maybe this 40 x 60), a creatively arranged PCV tube framework, and one of these might just Git`er-Done!

And after the weather breaks, that tarp could pull double-duty as the new and improved Uber Shelter!
Hey, IÆm just sayinÆ

* BTW û GemplerÆs online catalog doesnÆt seem to have any of those 30-year poly-vinyl shelters that we talked about û if it does, I sure couldnÆt find them û so I guess IÆll have to send you a printed catalog after all.

FYI! Here is some info on Uwharrie and what they are planning to do in the future. Some stuff is going to be changing. I don't know exactly when, but it will be happening sometime in the future. From what I have read, it is not going to be a bad thing, there is talk of opening up older closed sections of trail and limiting atv's from certain trails and stuff like that. The Forest Service is also wanting comments on what should be done. We as a ORV Enthusiast Community need to stand out and make our voices heard!

Here are the links for your reading:

Official Uwharrie National Forest Plan Revision Website

Here is where they are talking about it on NC4X4:

Give your feedback on what should be done in Uwharrie in the future.

I'll be at the Spring Uwharrie. I learned my lesson - Don't start a major mod the week before a big wheeling trip. There is a chance I'll be in Africa in April (teaching in Kenya and climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania), but otherwise I'll be there.
