Well, I still haven't installed the HD tie rods or spacers. It was too cold this past weekend. It's supposed to be in the low 60's this Saturday, so we should be in good shape.

so anything in particular i need to bring or do you have the shop ready, bucket? do you think the teras can actually be installed in one afternoon (realistically)?

I've never installed Tera Lows. Eric and Chris have, and hopefully both will be there Saturday. I'm not sure of the time frame to install those.

Well I guess I should knock the dust off my login for this site and finally start posting again. We (me and family) should be there, but I don't think I will bring the list of things that I need to do with my rodeo. I'll be happy with just an oil change, maybe top off the trans fluid, and clean the EGR valve.

If you plan on getting those gears done you better get started early just in case you need to run to the parts store or sears. I have never done the install, but it should be interesting. If we get stuck I'm sure Bucket can logon to the wire and post a request for support.

well, since i'd basically be relying on the help, guidance and expertise of those who have actually taken on the task of installing tera lows, i don't want to come across as a burden at buckets. if i could get a little feedback, positive or negative, as to whether or not i should even attempt this project this weekend and what to expect when i do. i don't want to be a pain in the<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />and i don't think bucket would want me as a roommate if i couldn't get it put back together (i'll be two hours from home). so what'ya think guys(especially any of you who have already installed these before)? you can pm me if you prefer.

Well, Onebadtrooper is gonna be the best authority on this one from our group. Personally, I don't think I would want to go into the transfercase 2 hours from home unless it was an emergency repair. I know Chris did his install, and there is a how to install them article in the tech section of the website if I recall.

Might check that out and see what you think.

The biggest thing that I would worry about is if they sent you the right kit. Also do you have a 5speed or a auto?
If its a 5speed we will ether have to install them under the truck, or take out the tranny. If everything were to go good we could probably get it done in a day. The hardest thing that I thought was getting a snap ring on the idler gear. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />.
