[quote]Those of you that said it looks somewhat like Arizona; I agree. The lack of dense vegetation makes the wheeling a little more fun for me. I hate driving through thick manzanita, brush, etc.[quote]
I know what you mean...I'm taller than about half the trees around here. Besides, who needs all that pasky shade and fresh water anyhow?
I would rather suffer the consequences of a Conservative?s error, than suffer the consequences of a Socialist's intent.

Explain that rock, what the heck is goin on there? Legends say no one has ever witnessed the rocks move, but the theory is the desert floor has a high clay content that gets slick when wet; combine this with heavy winds and the rocks slide (not roll) across the desert floor. Interesting stuff! Ken

looks like fun! did you camp out or stay in motels/hotels? We camped--three nights at the campground in Panamint Springs, one night in the backcountry near Mengel Pass at the Geologist's Cabin and two nights at the campground in Furnace Creek. I'm hooked on these 1,500-mile roadtrip/wheeling trips. I'm thinking a 2-week trip to Colorado would be fun this fall.

They're great! Now I can drive tougher trails without worrying about crushing the rockerpanels. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> After much consideration, I ended up welding them directly to the frame.Another pic.anyone of the group using roof top tents or off road trailers? Nope, everyone either camped in a tent or in their 4Runners.
