Body Damage is Cool
Made it back alive and well. I had a blast!!!! I really enjoyed meeting all of the newbies and hope they had fun too and will come out and play agein. I honestly think that this has been one of our best gatherings.

As a group, we had very little carnage. I will let everyone post up thir own stories, but as for my group, my brothers explor decided that I did not like its theromastat and we had to do a "getto fab" repair. I did not get any carnage on the trial, but on the ride home, my stearing went out on me. That was scarry...hurttling down they highway and then realizing that you can not turn <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> . I managed to bail into the brake down lane and found out that the bolt on my stearing shaft extension had backed out. After fixing that, she was good as new.

Thanx to everyone for such a great time!!! And thanx to those that helped me turn some wrenches on the Ex.

Pics will be up shortly...I am uploading them as I type this.

home safe 9 pm saturday. as usual no carnage on montero. like a timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking. had a great time. hope to see you in june.

sorry but can't resist. quote of the week - "i'm taking the alternate line"

glad there were no serious injuries following that quote.

i know i left sort of abruptly. was soaking wet after breaking camp in the rain and didn't want to walk back up to the main site and get more wet than i was.

didn't have my camera this trip. hope someone posts some pics of the montero.

roger

Howdy, all!

I rolled-in about 10pm last night.

It was great to meet some of the guys/gals on this forum, and get to 'wheel on some new terrain. I enjoyed my time at Uwharrie, and look forward to the next opportunity to visit again.

I have 108 photos here , though many of them are literally "trail" pictures--you probably saw me sticking the camera out on the trail, snapping a shot of the trucks behind me. Here's some of my favorites...

I'll show this one to the MWIOR gang who, besides RuggedAmigo, couldn't make the trip!

Joe pops another fuse on Kodak Rock. That's a hard pinion angle, Joe!

Before the fuse went, Joe was gettin' tippy with it.

Z and Pastor lined up for Daniel. I liked the view from this point, also.

I think we were on Falls Dam.

The Explorer gang liked the mud!

I had a blast. Thanks, everyone who came.

Good times were had.. Just wish my Trooper didnt crap out on me. Thanks to everyone for welcoming the new comers to Uwharrie. I had a blast. Thanks especially to Bansil for getting all muddy while helping me with my no start issues and taking a 40,000 volt charge to check for ignition spark, and to Robbie(iluvmud) for taking a hit for the team too haha.

See you all next time.. but with the Beast!!

Peace
Joel
