Any other moderators wanna kick me while I'm down? Meh... the truck comments have 'been done'. I think I'll just post this picture instead. See, the fun here is to make sure the target has seen the decoy picture first, then replace it with the real one and see how long it takes them to notice. ![[Linked Image]](http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/strawmyers/randiiidream.jpg)

Kudos to Sean for new material, at least.

Here in Skamania County, shooting a sasquatch is still listed in the books as a felony. So if shooting the rare beast sasquach is a felony, I would imagine shooting a pic of Uzi (the rarest of beasts) would induce WWIII!

Well, I don't want to be left out... Randii, I know Jeep makes a Rubicon, so that makes sense, but I didn't know you could rent Fordyce and Barret editions too! You must have some connections as a repeat customer, right? One of these days, I'll make it out west and play with you guys. Of course, I'll probably have to rent a rig myself, so maybe I ought to stay quiet. James

If a 4" lifted 2nd gen Rodeo can make it up there without too much damage, I would love to go. Moab Zu Zoo is always during finals week for me, so I never get to go. But I would definitely make it out to the Sierras, It's less than 4 hours for me. Cheaper on gas too. Been waiting years to meet other Isuzu board members.....Maybe you can make have a run for us beginners, with an easier trail.

If a 4" lifted 2nd gen Rodeo can make it up there without too much damage, I would love to go. there is no way a lifted Rodeo can make Fordyce or Rubicon without major modifications (SAS, both axles locked, 35+ tires etc). This is why I suggested a middle-level run for lifted IFS Isuzus. I know that some stock Jeeps can make it, according to the Jeep company. I am sure they can. On a tow after a monster truck, surely. This way, even my Mazda Protege can make it.

there is no way a lifted Rodeo can make Fordyce or Rubicon without major modifications (SAS, both axles locked, 35+ tires etc). This is why I suggested a middle-level run for lifted IFS Isuzus. With careful spotting, parts of Rubicon are possible. I think going in from Loon, and going out through Wentworth or McKinstry Lake would be do-able. FWIW, I ran Rubicon for the first time with 33" tires, IFS, and no lockers, though I did have rocker-panel armor. I beat the heck out of the bottoms of my rear corners, and would definitely advise armor for there. Stee (lttlbddy) has run Rubicon with IFS, 33s, and a rear locker, as well, and if you want to go WAYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back, one of the print rags took two stock Isuzus through back in 1990. The trail has changed some since 1990, tho. If we wind up with some smaller rigs, I think we could play together for at least a day on Rubicon -- Fordyce and Barret are less friendly to folks separating in groups part way through. There are some other great Sierra trails that I could recommend, if two runs coalesce, and I'd be willing to pre-run them with a trail leader, if that helps. Isuzus in the Sierra... Steve (lttlbddy) has run Rubicon with IFS, 33s, and a rear locker, 32s first time. I did have the limited slip in the front as well. I wouldn't even consider running the Rubicon without good rocker panel protection. I put a few small dents behind the rear wheels too. This would be the most exposed area on an Isuzu. Minimum requirments: Rear locker, rocker protection, lots of good friends with gloves, straps and a few winches. edit > AND the ability to not care if you do get body damage.

Randii, I am sure that it's possible to get through the Rubicon without major mods. But it would be not a fun, especially in a family vehicle, which is supposed to have little (or not at all) body damage. At least, not kind of fun I like, and what the majority of the trail-taken SUV owners like. Also, from my point of view, there is no sense to run a trail if I cannot get through it completely. This is why I've never tried the Rubicon. It's rather silly and self-humiliative to make a U-turn half-way. May be, we can have two different runs in different times.
