The forest roads near where Smiley lives have potential, but if there is no snow they may not be a challenge. Are there other locations in WV that are open in winter? Paragon is open all year and they have campsites that are also open year-round, not to mention hotels. Callantee by Doug would be good because there is a variety of trails, including easier ones just in case the conditions are very bad. That's what's needed - challenging trails in case there is no snow or ice, and easy trails that become very challenging in case there is snow and ice.
