I'm still planning on going! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/images/smilies/yup.gif) My plans might change a little. IÆm still not sure but I might be leaving Austin earlier than anticipated, maybe at 3:30 pm. So I might get to Gilmer by 8 or 9 pm depending on Dallas traffic. It all depends if my wife is going to meet her friend or not. If she stays in Austin, I will leave earlier. If not then I will be showing up either late on Friday or very early on Saturday. Is there a better way to get to Gilmer without having to go thru I20 in Dallas? I will be checking the maps to look for an alternate route.

Is there a better way to get to Gilmer without having to go thru I20 in Dallas? you can go I35n to waco and take hwy 31 thru corsicana and into tyler to hwy 271 into gilmer and then 155 out to barnwell. i think it is about 50 miles shorter than taking I35 up to I20 but it's about the same time difference and you don't have to go thru all the small towns. so personal preference...interstate or a lot of two lane roads and small towns and red lights. or you could even go up 79 (i prefer that route when i'm on my bike). small towns but typically very little traffic. do you guys have two way radios or cb's? i've got some two way radios but no cb. chris, what time do you think y'all will make it in?

I've got some two way radio's. Pete, do you know the trails there very well? I think I was only able to go on one trail last time.
I'm thinking we will be there around 12:00pm on friday

i don't know the trails near as well as bucket does. he's got the "lamitated" map. i guess we'll just get a map and send the rubicon out first <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
i know i've gone in on some trails that i thought were 2's and 3's and came out on 4's. got a little turned around i guess. i guess now we'll be forced to figure it out.
so are we still just down to 3 rigs going? anyone else care to join us out there?

hey guys, would y'all rather have crawfish on saturday? it doesn't really matter to me. i just don't want to mess with it if no one wants/likes it. i'm thinking of doing it saturday so we can eat it while it's still a little warm at least and everyone who's coming will all be down there.
let me know what you guys think.

If I get the membership do I have to pay the gate fee?? Buy the annual membership and that weekend gate fee is waived. Attend the Members meeting this Saturday at 1pm and there is a free pass for another weekend. It's a good weekend to go.
