Newbie???

Marc, the conversation took place in this thread, but no worries... It looks like there will be enough room for your Tow Rig & Trailer at Joe Darlington's site (#27) -- Just be sure that you tuck everything as much out of the way as possible

As for your Trail Rig and Tent, there's still enough room for that at #37

And I guess I'll have to update this thread to include that Low Country Boil

I saw joe posted weather, I pulled this for Charlotte Airport, plan on the hills being about 6-10 degrees cooler than these.

Wednesday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 67.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Friday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 69.

It is gonna be a cold one at night I have a feeling.

I'll bet you didn't have to check with weather.com when you woke up this morning, though, didja?

I don't know about any of the rest of you, but up here in the mountains of S-WV/SW-VA, Joe and I experienced a little visit from Old Man Winter last night...

Everybody sing:
"I'm - dreaming - of a White - Easter..."

About 4:30am, I went out and played around in it for a little while - and a couple of times, it was coming down so hard that I honestly couldn't see more than about two street lights into the distance... It looked like I was driving into a balckout - not a whiteout - a BLACKOUT! --- There weren't very many other vehilces out at the time, but of the few that I saw, the oncoming ones weren't even visible until they were roughly 100 yards away from me... at about that point, their headlights were just a faint glow ahead of me... It wasn't until they were about 50 yards away that they even started looking like a pair of headlights.

By the time that I got back home, about 45 minutes later, it had snowed an additional 2+ inches! --- It looks like we got a total of about 6 inches.

I sure hope it melts away soon - I've still gotta unpack, clean-out, and repack the Rodeo!

Yep. Woke up this morning and everything was covered in snow. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm sure glad we didn't pick the first April weekend for this trip. Hope it gets back to normal by next week.

Oh and about those forecasts. They're never right. I posted one from weather.com for the October trip. It said no rain after Thursday. Of course everyone with a leaky tent, myself included, found out that it didn't stop raining after Thursday. If it rains next weekend I'm sleeping in the montero. If it snows, y'all have fun. I'll wait for the pics.

Less than one week...

Roger -- With you being a man of the cloth, I somehow find myself totally incapable of adequately replying to that statement

Not to rain on the parade but weather.com is not as accurate as they have you believe. Ironicly it will most likely rain

Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 66. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 70. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

I pull all my weather from aviation sites for work, they can still go wrong not to say but 9 out of 10 times they are right on. this cold front and the jetstream are both dipping extremely low for this time of year.
