I got my weather from
www.weather.com and I entered the Zip for Troy NC.
Joe
I'll bet you didn't have to check with weather.com when you woke up this morning, though, didja?
I don't know about any of the rest of you, but up here in the mountains of S-WV/SW-VA, Joe and I experienced a little visit from Old Man Winter last night...
Everybody sing:
"I'm - dreaming - of a White - Easter..."
About 4:30am, I went out and played around in it for a little while - and a couple of times, it was coming down so hard that I honestly couldn't see more than about two street lights into the distance... It looked like I was driving into a balckout - not a whiteout - a BLACKOUT! --- There weren't very many other vehilces out at the time, but of the few that I saw, the oncoming ones weren't even visible until they were roughly 100 yards away from me... at about that point, their headlights were just a faint glow ahead of me... It wasn't until they were about 50 yards away that they even started looking like a pair of headlights.
By the time that I got back home, about 45 minutes later, it had snowed an additional 2+ inches! --- It looks like we got a total of about 6 inches.
I sure hope it melts away soon - I've still gotta unpack, clean-out, and repack the Rodeo!
