sorry for the delay. They are nearly all poser shots as we were either all driving or all stopping. I don't have time right now to write captions. I'll post up the videos tomorrow.

Yup, 7 hours. It was awesome. We eat lunch by the trail too.

Eli, no worries on helping you out with the over heating issues. It'll be a really easy fix. I was really impressed with the way your SWB seemed to go over ANYTHING it could clear. It must be a lot more difficult with a 5 spd. I'm glad we got to wheel together at last. Hopefully we can again in October.

Roger, it was great to wheel with you again. I enjoyed leading at the end. I love the look of your Gen 1. Those 33's look so good. I want (need!) some now!! My 32's are far too small!!

I'm glad the pain in the butt rock shot turned out nice. With over heating..it took what a good 45 minutes to get the trucks lined up? And thanks for the compliment, I was surprised how easy your truck made stuff I wouldn't try look easy. Especially on that one spot only you did on Falls Dam.

As far as my truck goes I was worried by the "smell", then the over heating, but it made up for it when it impressed me when I was behind you at the end and it just crawled up and over stuff I would have usually tried to go around. Again great looking pics Ruben, had a blast, and can't wait to see the videos!

Edit: Oh yeah, sorry the soup bowl ate up your front plate Ruben.

Good pics. I wish I could have been there. Sorry guys, I could not take off Friday, I missed Monday and Tuesday of work to do more stuff to get hired by a German car company.

Eli, that SWB looks great with those tires. I like it better than the silver one. But I still like the rear door lock on the silver one.

Ruben, the coolest Englishman I know, did you install the locking diff yet?

I like your truck too pastor.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Did that mud smell as rank as it looks? It changed more to a more yellowish color since April when I was there. Glad you had a great time.

Pete

I agree 100% Pastor has 1 CLEAN Gen1, and that Gen 2 will be Bombing with a Locker in the rear!!!

You need a 2 inch Body Lift, and 35's then.

Thats because we were too busy romping through it 5-7 times each right before that. No one wanted to get out and take pictures, too busy riding around taking turns. I don't think we even really stopped when we got to it... Roger stopped for a second, I pulled up next to him and then off he went...the me a little later. Ruben was kind enough to stop and get some video if I remember correctly. Other wise we were just having too much fun playing in the mud, hehe. As Roger put it (as best I can remember), "Its great it starts off shallow then you go in deep in the middle".... something along those lines..

But on the not so light side of things, I found out why my truck was over heating. The belt that turns the fan broke. I would love to sit there for a couple days with my truck in the driveway and learn myself how to change the belt, and if thats the only problem, and why the belt broke, and allll that other fun stuff. The matter of the fact is I don't have the tools, and I don't have the alternate transportation to really be driving out to auto shops, getting the belt, finding some cheap tools, then hoping I get it right.

If I had the whole weekend to mess with it, I would go for it. But I HAVE to have a vehicle for work Monday. So I will look into it, and see what it takes to fix it. But more than likely I will get it towed early morning and get ripped off my Midas etc to get it fixed.

Drive the silver one and fix the red one yourself.

Bad thing about the silver one is it doesn't have 1st gear. And you can really feel the clutch barely working. I mean the pedal sits just a inch or two off the floor mat. Its not really in condition to be driven. After looking at the Haynes Manual it doesn't look too bad...but I will see in the morning when I have daylight to help me.

You should let me have it. I will give it a good home.
