Body Damage is Cool
A couple of us (me and Rubo) are tentatively going to the Deer Valley trail Sep 22-23 weekend (the corridor between highways 88 and 4). The trail is rated, well, moderate (easier than Rubicon but still requires modified vehicles). This is two days ride with convenient camping in between. Are there any NorCal wheelers to join us ? There have been not many joint events here where we can get together. Can we do this ? Let me know if there are anybody who wants to join us.

Great scenery down there... top of the world!

I might be able to swing it -- I have a HAM radio class on that Saturday but will already be in Placerville... I might be able to join you along the way.

I put a much bigger dent in my Amigo on Deer valley the day after running through Rubicon with hardly and damage. Let's just blame the driver.

we will have plenty of time and we will not push any hard lines. Hopefully, everybody will be OK.

The preliminary settings are:

1) So far, the following guys expressed interest in the ride: me, Rubo, 4xmonty and cmonty72. Randii hopefully, will join us on Saturday night.

2) The main herd is meeting Saturday morning, 10AM, on the large parking lot at the cross section of highways 88 and 49, at the Perkos cafe:

After the meeting, we will drive about 1 hour to the trailhead.

3) We start Saturday morning and we drive along the Deer Valley trail toward highway 4 (to Hermit Valley). There, we will camp and wait for Randii (details will follow).

4) Sunday morning, 4xmonty is leaving for personal reasons. The others will drive some Bear Valley trails (Slickrock, Mount Reba, etc).

This is the a tentative program.

Yeah, we are going from north to south. There will be only one Isuzu Axiom on the trail, you will not miss it

I suppose that this truck is more than good enough.
