Getting the Wheeling Fever
This years Mid-Atlantic Toyota Crawlers Fall Colors Run will be held October 24th through the 26th at George washington National Forest outside of Harrisonburg, Va.
Those of you that have been there before know the drill. For the newcomers, the trails are on the easier side yet still give a good time for most. There can still be carnage for those who seek it. Most stock 4WD vehicles will have no problem with the trail system there. That said, this run is open to all 4WD vehicles, not just Toyotas.
Like years past, this has been more of a meet and greet weekend packed full of wheelin', camping, and hanging out with friends, old and new. Hell, I met some of you way back in '03 there, Beater, Kajo, Ace.

Donnie, Erin and I will be there Thursday night and plan on wheelin' Friday so feel free to come early if your schedule permits.

One rule this year.
1. NO DRINKING ON THE TRAIL. If you can't have fun in your truck without alcohol, please stay home. There will be plenty of time back at camp. We really don't need anyone bringing negative press to our sport and more importantly getting hurt or hurting someone else. So please, keep the alcohol at camp.

I'll steal directions from last year's thread,

The National Forest is located about 20 minutes west of Harrisonburg, VA on Route 33. The campsite will be at the meadow by Skidmore Lake off Rt 33.
Follow Route 33 west out of Harrisonburg for approx. 20 minutes. You will start going up the mountain and hit all the "switchbacks". Going up the switchbacks there will be a left turn (It is the ONLY left turn with a turning lane). Take that left and follow the gravel road down the mountain. At the bottom of the mountain there will be a concrete bridge. Turn left immediately after the bridge and you will enter a small meadow. To the right you will see a trail that leads to a large meadow where we will be camping.

Either Donnie or myself will meet people down at the Shell gas station Saturday morning to escort newcomers up if need be, probably around 8:30. Post up if you want to meet at Shell.

Alright guys and gals, should be some good times ahead. I'll add everyone's name to this post as you sound off.

Here's our link, hope to see you guys there.
