UPDATE
I wrote to one of the local clubs there asking what trails they recommend which are intermediate to difficult in rating.

Here's their response...

hi there. we have three trails that are considered moderate by the forest dept.

Las Chicas. it is a blue trail. Has some steep hiils but nothing to get hung up on. Anything with a lsd and 30's or 31's should make it.

Another one is Pine Mountain. It has some areas that are black diamond area's. I found my 96 jeep made it. It has 31's 3 inch lift and is open. Pine mountian does have the Stair Steps. most people wont do that part any more. it is so erroded away its very dangerous now.

Garcia Ridge was a blue trail. forrest dept upgraded to a black diamond. a fun trail.there are some parts which will require at least a limited slip. it it has a small stair step which is fun and a small rock area.

let us know when your coming down. we maybe able to set something up and wheel with you.

I did some additional research and everything I found concurs with his descriptions. One thing I'm finding out is much time they take to run. Hopefully there's enough for 1.5-2 days of wheeling.

What do you all think? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
