I'm planning on meeting up with Ya'll somewhere, when I figure out your schedule.

The campground in the woods below Pine Mtn Road is called La Panza. A table and fire ring for each site, a vault as I recall.
The Hi Mtn campground is in the oak woods up on the side of the Mtn. , right above the Pozo Saloon. Garcia road is like a mile from the campgrond.

Well trailride schedule is up in the air. I'm thinking...

Friday night: Arrive, setup camp, sit around the campfire and chat then at some point sleep.

Saturday: Be ready to drive/ride no later than 10:00. Depending on the trail difficulty we will do 1 or 2 of the 3 trail runs. This will be an eat on the trail run. It might be possible to stop somewhere to buy lunch on the road to or between trails but to be safe I recommend stocking up on supplies before arriving on Friday.

Sunday: Run the 2nd or 3rd of the 3 trails. Again alot depends on how hard the trails really are. If they're as easy as I've read, then they be doable in 2 days.

Monday: A day of R&R... repairs &/or relaxation. We can do a dunes run or head home a little early. Depends on what each of us wants to do.

One thing for those who haven't done a trail run in Pismo... a flag (usually Intl. Orange & mounted on a tall pole (8'?) is required for all vehicles on the beach. These can be purchased just outside the beach. If you arrive late, the gate is usually vacated but remains open.

You will be able to buy a flag the following morning.

Also realize the sand will easily get into things. If it's windy then it's likely VERY FINE SAND can get into everything. Avoid bringing high value items unless you have a 'relatively' sealable bag for them(ex. ziploc bags, zippable camera bag, etc.).

Hi tyty,

Your rig should be fine for the trails we're doing since they're moderate trails. In fact I fear they may be too easy if anything but I haven't wheeled them before so it will be new for most if not all of us.

I will say that if at any point you don't feel comfortable, we can in many cases back down and turn around.

Alternatively, you can simply park your rig and ride along for the trails since they appear to all be one way in/out runs.

If you do elect to go, please send me your contact details (phone and email) as well as your first name along with the time you think you'll be arriving at Pismo.

Hope you can make it.

I'm still a maybe. Work may run out, but I might hang around out here for an extra week. Will make the call this weekend.

If I can cycle home I will mount up the 33" BFGs. If not, sounds like the 31" will do.

P# on the way Ray.

Any body needing some parts when they come down?

The main yard in SLO is closed on Sat. They have Gen2 '92 with these parts that I stuffed inside the vehicle for easy pickens:

Liteduty Locker rear 4.8 w disc brakes
Locker air pump
Rear coils
AT/T-case out of vehicle on the rack
A hole bad engine to be cannabilized for nick nats.

5 miles so of the dunes, open allthetimeyards :
@ 96 3.0 L.S. no bouncys , open rears. good radiators, tran/transfers. 1 good 24 valve engine.

PM me if there's anything your looking for and I'll get it from the SLO yard,,,I can't get stuff pulled ready for pickup Sat Morning from the Dunes Yards.

Hope this helps out.

Nice of you to offer Dave. If you see any tools from the gen II rear tool bins, I need some stuff. Most of the tools in mine were gone. Other than that, I could probably use a few other nick knack things I need like an antenna or radio for that matter . JK. I'll install that whenever I finally get one.

If you do find a set of Gen II bouncy's I'l buy those for sure! You have my cell now so let me know.

I'll check it tonight and let you know.
