IMO Sears is the place to check out for tool kits. They usually have sales on a lot of their craftsman stuff (lifetime warranty is great!) I got my 170 something piece kit on sale a year or two ago for $120 IIRC. Came with metric, sae, 1/2", 3/8", 1/4" drive ratchets, and sockets including some deeps...and a good set of allen wrenches.

Thanks for pointing this out Ty. Funny though... as of right now it shows sunny on Fri & partly cloudy on Sat w/ a 10% chance of rain both days. I suspect it's simply too soon to know. I'll believe it would probably be accurate once it's within 72 hrs of the trip.

Rain or shine, I'm packing up and ready to go. Heading to CA Saturday. Starting to get the itch, I might actually show up this time. Only have a few days of work, it would be nice to arrive mid-afternoon Fri.
My CB is dead, might have access to a hand held. I do have an FRS. Will this do, or do I really need the CB?
Do we have a good count on who is in?

I'm still in, rain or shine. I'll bring my FRS in addition to my CB. We plan to arrive Friday between 3 and 5pm. I'll be in a blue 89 Raider, and Kris will be caravanning with me in his red 89 Raider.

To clarify, I'll be borrowing Kris' kid's Raider for the weekend. It's a blue 89 3.0 w/ a manual transmission. When I do buy a Montero... and yes it'll probably "when" and not "if"... I'll be sure to let you all know!

I still need cell phone numbers for several of you. cjsmontero, joestruck, & Cronk please PM me with your numbers ASAP.
Once I get that, I'll PM everyone with a list of attendee's, contact numbers and trail coordinates for 2 of the 3 trails. The third trail, I'm having a problem nailing down the details but I should have in time for the run.
So far, we're looking at possibly 13 rigs so this should be a decent sized group.
