Yes I saw the snow on the mountain tops east of San Jose today! It was a chilly day indeed, but nothing a good jacket didn't remedy.

When I do buy a Montero... and yes it'll probably "when" and not "if"... I'll be sure to let you all know!

You know if you ever buy a Montero you never gonna be down again (at least this long) since any of us will be able to come over and help you fix any issues you might have with it ( which btw are very minimum)
Not to say we can't help you with your current rig but it will just make it easier since we know monteros inside out! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

BTW, if you ever decide to but a Monty, get 94-97 SR with factory locker, I promise we turn it into a mean machine! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

See you all Friday! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

OK, not sure how many have been checking the weather but this will be a rain trip.

It's expected to rain on Fri Sat & Sun (70%, 40% & 60% chance respectively) and fortunately clear up on Monday with only a 10% chance of rain.

Now this trip is a rain or shine trip so that said I want to make sure we're all prepared.

1) Bring extra dry clothes.
2) Bring towels
3) Bring a Tarp w/ Line to tie it up or if you have one, a Canopy.
4) Be 'mentally' prepared for wet, slick, muddy trails.

5) Bring a good jacket that you don't mind getting dirty.

Myself, I'll also be bringing an old coat and also have my coveralls to minimize wear & tear on my other clothes.

Hope to see you all there wet or dry. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Sent. Now lets hope the state does not pull some stunt like shutting down the area because it's wet, or the state is broke. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

ARGGGG they closed all 3 trails for the weekend due to the rain and the potential for erosion!!

Not sure what we do for a backup for all 3 days since most places will be closed and I really don't want to spend 3 days on the beach in the rain!!
