ARGGGG they closed all 3 trails for the weekend due to the rain and the potential for erosion!!

Not sure what we do for a backup for all 3 days since most places will be closed and I really don't want to spend 3 days on the beach in the rain!!

Even if the rain stops, they will keep it closed. 3 days of nothing but wet sand might get rough. Looking like a big rain and the state needs it. As of now, I'm still game, but if we need to scrub this one, then so be it.

Open to changes as well, maybe a snow bash? I need to clear out of Santa Rosa for the weekend.

crud! well maybe the weather will be fine and we will hang on the beach. not as much fun as the trails but we will have to make do.

One thing i have always been true to in life: MAKE YOUR OWN FUN!

be prepared with a book or football or video game or whatever you like to do. sure it will suck to be on the beach in the rain with only a book. but better than without a book!

oh yes...and plenty of alcohol.

Well, seeing as we've all paid for reservations at Pismo, I say we make a go of a weekend there then.

I'll be sure to bring my laptop (hopefully a hotspot nearby) and maybe we can make it a fixit weekend? Everyone who has stuff to fix, we can do it right there on the beach?

And we'll definitely be doing some kind of day/night runs in the dunes as well.

See you all there.

Yep, I read on one of the Pismo websites that the restaurant on the beach right next to the Northern entrance hosts free wireless. I've also heard from friends that their food is darn good.

Bummer.....

Well, my rental is 45 minutes away, has a garage, cable and room for plenty. You guys are welcome to come wrench, watch TV, use the gas grill, shower etc... if you want a warm dry place to hang.

Hey if you've never been there, the "Hitching Post" in Casmalia is well worth the price if you want a good steak. Also, up by Lake Cachuma is a cool old stage coach stop turned restaurant called the "Cold Springs Tavern". It serves a mean Tri Tip on Sundays.

The faucet just opened up. The weather man is calling for up to 5 inches over the next 3 days.

You guys running Pismo Saturday or Sunday?

We have some guys working on Saturday, I need to be on site until they finish so I may be a late arrival Satuday.I will call upon arrival. Sunday I'm open all day.
