I got back last night and had every intention of posting up pics but fell asleep in chair with laptop on my lap while I was in the process of doing so.(I guess I was a little tired )

Anyhow it was a great "Toys for Rocks" Weekend and there was a lot of toys donated for the local area county for christmas this year to kids whow are in need of them. It was cool to see how many people brought toys to donate.

There were quite a few clubs that came up for this ride from all over the east coast I saw. I went up and have wheeled with the Isuzu guys so I stuck around with them. But it was pretty cool to see the WIDE variety of rigs there, and watch them play on the big stuff.

Enough about that on to the pictures.

Friday we arrived shortly after dinner and had a small group that headed up a trail called welder. It is a good little challenging trail and there is a trench up at the top that we went up. Only 4 rigs tried it and all made it up but me. (I guess it wasnt my time to shine) But the monty ended up laying over on its side and was a good photo opp for me and thats about it. I will post up those pics when they are sent to me because I was trying to keep in my seat while we kept attempting to get up the trench. It was on its side in the trench with the slider and bottom of doors/wheels taking all the weight. So I think it was as far as I could go without flopping and body damage.

Friday night was also good we came back down from welder and had a good meal and then headed out around 930-10pm for a night run. We ended up meeting up with some of our group that had left cause they were itchin for trailtime and got lost. After Doug got his rig stuck in another massive trench at midnight and a little winching we ended up backtracking the same route and getting back to camp to sleep.

The next day we waited for everyone to arrive and headed out onto the trail around 1130 or so and went up a trail called ArmorAll. It is in a creekbed and was a great fun little trail. I made it through I would say 80% of it and then managed to get the front driver tire a little airborne while bumpin an obstacle and it came down and grabbed traction and **BANG** CV axle broke. So we winched the rest of the way out in 2wd. Was lots of fun and everything built on the monty held up just great. Armor did what it was supposed to...rear bumper did great and we tested its durablilty pretty good with a few rocks and new dents in it... Other than that I got out of the trail and got back to camp and had a good time with everyone at supper and then headed home after that. Here are the rest of the pics. I am hoping that others will post a more variety of pics from other peoples rigs and I will do so when I get them. But everyone seemed to have my monty in the lens cause of what it was accomplishing.

This is the picture right before the Carnage. Timing just wasnt on our side cause 87montero stopped filming ilke 1/2 a second before it happened. So pics will have to due I guess. He is supposed to have video up sometime here when he gets it edited. Thinking back this probably could of been avoided cause I had just gone over larger rocks and I was just steppin on the skinny pedal a little too much Ahh well...I still had fun doing it.

This Boy was 7yrs old and he was driving the whole trail. The Toyota had a doubler and low gears so his dad just put it in low and let it CRAWL super slow while he walked beside him telling him Left or right and helping him. It was pretty cool.

Getting off the trail in 2wd was fun but not too terrible hard. Found out that I needed a bigger anchor point once up the trail cause I used and Isuzu rodeo and I was moving him around at will when I would winch in.

This is one of my favorite shots

The Isuzu behind me was locked front and rear and had to be winched out of here too. This exit was knarly. He blew out the seals on his Rack and pinion shortly around the time that I broke I think so he had his problems as well.

Scratched the bumper on one rock and dented the bottom of it on another.

Some of the big boys playin on Pull Cable. This trail can take and hour or two just to go a 100yrds up the hill. Good fun to watch them play.

Didnt break the joint...the axle/shaft between....right as it necks down in size before it heads into the boot....Time to source some bigger shafts...cause this is the second one.

Thanks I didn't have anything to drive so I had to do something to make myself look useful.

I've got some good video, need to get my Firewire card installed in my desktop.. I should have it done tonight(hopefully)
