Thank you for the reply and the handbook recommendation.

In regards to shocks and struts: I plan adding a arb bumper and winch in the front, ( not to mention rear bumper and roof rack) and fear I that the continuous additional weight might be bit much for stock suspension that looks original and must have 170k miles on it.

OEM shock shock $71.46
Arb shock (4wheel parts) $107-147
Old Man Emu (rocky-road) $107

My Plan is to replace my spark pugs and valve gaskets, and plenum gasket. I am considering changing my plug wires while i am in there, any thing else come to mind I should change? ALso looking at my intake manifold/ lower plenum, it looks like there are a bunch of washers under the nut, is this mean someone has taken my engine apart before and did a bad job putting it back together?

I plan on having a shop i trust change my water pump and timing belt. but to buy oem parts myself. I am considering buying the parts on mitsubishi parts wearhouse but wanted to know if the ebay kits are really oem parts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Montero-V6-1997-1999-Full-Timing-Belt-Water-Pump-Kit-3-5L-Genuine-OEM-Parts-/160677074693?fits=Year%3A1997%7CMake%3AMitsubishi%7CModel%3AMontero%7CSubmodel%3ASR%7CEngine+-+Liter_Display%3A3.5L&hash=item2569199705:m:m_3UkHJYyF2Jo6fCfpICxrQ&vxp=mtr
