It is most likely that the needle bearings do not need to be replaced, but, I am making a generalization.

To inspect them, clean them up and look for degradation of the polished surface, rust, or pitting...same on the races. If you're already doing the CV shaft, this is the opportune time for this service.

The CV kinda pops out of the left side, but you'll need a pry bar to extract. Get a replacement c-clip for the inner side.
