I noticed that your Monty is stock, and since I have both an LS & SR at my disposal, I can tell you that the performance difference is definitely noticable. Therefore, I would be hesitant to hang that much iron, add to that an 80 pound winch, out on the front of the rig. I suggest removing the stock bumper structure down to the frame horns and having an aluminum one fabbed up, maybe even a shorty, the cost couldn't be that far out of whack...

I am lucky enough to have a full metal shop at my disposal. so building one would not be the end of the word, would not have to do a lot of welds as they have the tools to bend seems.

That is interesting you find a difference in the LS and SR, what years are they? I mean arnt they the same car? i didnt think the suspension was different?

I do plan on upgrading to a OME suspension kit with the torsion bar soon this should help with the extra weight.
