Getting the Wheeling Fever

I let a shade tree mechanic fix a bunch of oil leaks and he broke the EGR pipe and I think the bolts to connect it to the exhaust manifold. Everything was covered with some kind of jb weld that eventually came off.

Other than leaking exhaust and the lovely lawn mower sound. What does a broken EGR Pipe hurt in terms of performance? I need to know who urgent it is to fix this.
