When you're ready to do the proper fix I'd suggest an A/F flush first then use this:
http://barsleaks.com/product/super-radiator-flush/ as a final flush before tearing it down.

Good to know. I will try this before scrapping the radiator. Thx again! I'll post back with progress notes and lots of pics if I do the tear down myself.
