I just picked up a 95 SR with a bad head gasket, 167k, while I'm in there, I figured I'd do a timing kit, cam seals, and valve seals. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
I am also seriously considering deleting the sunroof (I really don't like a lot of weight up high).

Water pump, crank seal. My PCV valve is under the intake, if yours is then maybe a new one. Valve cover gaskets. Send injectors out to be tested/cleaned. I use Witchhunter. Maybe look at some new, hard to get at hoses.

Yeah all of that was on the list except for the crank seal, I should probably change the crank pulley bolt too....
There is water in the oil, what's the best way to get all of that out?

Water will be sitting at the bottom of the pan. Just do an oil change with filter. I wait until all work is done before adding new oil.

That's crank bolt and washer. And if you wanna really update, Ninja Performance sells lifters that have bigger holes which helps keep ticking down.

Ninja Performance sells lifters that have bigger holes which helps keep ticking down. Or RockAuto, EngineTech. I'd get the spec on the size of the hole. I upgraded to the EngineTech L6000 and the hole was slightly larger and has helped with ticking, but I thought it would be even larger. I'm running 0W-40 M1 in NC. I'm not sure what the ideal hole size is.

Thanks guys! I'll look into the VLA's, and check the butterflies of course. On the last SR I just cut the butterfly shaft off just inside the plenum, California truck, outwardly looks stock to smog techs, actuates and everything, lol!
