What's the general feeling about using a braided hydraulic line for the clutch? I am replacing the clutch master cylinder as it is leaking down under the clutch pedal and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the fitting off without breaking it. It's pretty well rusted. I've been spraying it with PB Blaster the past couple of days but haven't been able to get it loosened up. It's too close to the wiring harness to apply heat, and I've never had that much luck with heat on brake lines anyway. I'm thinking it might be easier to use a braided line instead of trying to track down an OEM one or get a generic one bent to match.
What's the best way to approach this?
Thanks,
Alex.

I would loosen the entire shebang out through the top, lines and all, and replace the mass with OE

Thanks. Got the flare nut out of the clutch master cylinder without breaking anything, but wound up rounding the nut off a bit, even with a flare nut wrench (and some help from locking pliers when the wrench started to slip). I'd still consider replacing with OE. Looking on parts sites, there's a part "MB555111" that says it is "Hydraulic Lines" and is in the category "Transmission:Hydraulic System" with but I can't find any diagram of it to verify it's the right part. I'll keep looking.
Always appreciate help from this forum. Thanks.
Alex.

Check the Mitsubishi ASA program. You need a Windows PC and can download it from Mitsubishilinks.com. It will use your VIN to give you the exact p/n's.
