At first I assumed the hub went out (manual hubs). While underneath I noticed I can pull the axle inward about 2". Now I'm thinking the retaining 'snap' ring broke or failed. What do you think? Can anyone tell me what size/style ring it uses? The Montero is an hour from the nearest parts store so I want to take what I need with me...or it will be a long day driving back and forth. Thanks!
