When operating correctly and the engine warmed up, what should the idle RPM be?
Truck is a 1991 Montero 3.0.
Thanks.

According to the FSM. Page 14-55:

Curb idle speed is 700 +/- 100 rpm

Thank you. Is adjusting the throttle body screw or to lower the idle a proper fix or is that a band aid approach?

Everything has to be adjustable, right? Otherwise, no adjustment screw?

I'd adjust there and see what results. Adjustment screws can normally be reset (or set back) easily.
