My ÔÇÖ87 2.6l has a badly cracked exhaust manifold. I'm looking for a replacement, and several people are helping, but so far no luck. I'm going to try a little longer, but just in case I can't find one IÔÇÖm starting to investigate my alternatives. One of those alternatives is installing a Pacesetter header.

I'd really like to hear from anyone who's installed a Pacesetter on their Gen1!

ÔÇ¿IÔÇÖve searched what little info there is here, and the consensus seems to be that it wonÔÇÖt improve performance at all ÔÇö IÔÇÖm okay with that. I'm not looking for a performance boost, I'm looking to seal off exhaust leaks.

My biggest question is just about getting it to fit; from what I can see, it wonÔÇÖt bolt up to the existing exhaust. Some fabrication would appear to be required, but IÔÇÖm unsure just how much.

Also, having just finished a Weber carb installation, I'm wondering about the need to re-jet the carb. Since the stock manifold, from what I've read, breathes at least as well as the aftermarket header I'm hoping that re-jetting won't be necessary. Am I off base?
