 Timing chain maintenance?

My '87 SWB (2.6l) has 149k on the odometer. I can't find anything in the FSM about service intervals for the timing chain; does it ever need to be adjusted or replaced? At what times?
1987 Montero SWB, 2.6L, 5spd

I've never heard of it needing to be adjusted or replaced. If it does, I'm going to need to do it on my SWB as well.

Is your timing chain rattling at start up? How is your oil pressure. At 149K, I'd definitely start looking at the chain, tensioners and guides.

Nope, no rattle at start or any other time. Oil Pressure is good.
If it's not something that needs doing right now, I'll add it to next summer's project list.
Do the chains for the balancer shafts get replaced at the same time?
