Who makes a good cam fro the G54B? I am finally going to finish up and reassemble the engine that I bought last summer so I can drop it into my Montero over Christmas break. I come from the Toyota world... is there anyone who makes the equivalent to the engnbldr 270/430 or 262C Crawler cam for these engines? I am looking for something streetable, with potentially more bottom-end for off-road or pulling a jon boat on a trailer.

I don't know that you will be able to find anything going any more lower on the torque curve than the stock cam. I would imagine any cams being made for the 2.6 are going to be geared towards the Star/Quest guys, working more towards RPM's. Might want to check with Randy at Engine Machine Service. I bet if anyone would know, he'd be the man.

I think you can still get a few different cams from Schneider. http://schneidercams.com/ you may need to call or email them.

Oh, well... I guess there is nothing wrong with the stock grind. I should really concentrate on reliability for this build instead.
