The only issue with this swap, is kind of what we are dealing with in the community. The guy who built it used a 96 Explorer engine, with 91 Explorer electronics. Something about simpler. Like our 6G72 and 4G54 engines, that makes a 25+ year old starting point. How many miles in a soccer mom truck is that? Still, the availability of 4WD Explorers is better than us. Still, I think it's a viable option, especially for folks up North where the Explorers are treated s appliances.
