If money is an issue, how about determining if the coil actually NEEDS to be replaced?

Go to mitsubishilinks.com and download the FSM (factory service manual). look in the ignition section. Pg 8-156 IIRC. That should give you the specs.

If it does need to be replaced then go to rockauto.com and buy an NGK for $15 or so.
