1. Looking at upgrading tires and wheels - would love to run 31x10.5R15s on these stock rims if possible - anyone know the width of the stock 15"s that came with these (mine is a V6 model with the spring rear suspension) - I also am considering 15" alloys to reduce weight
2. Roof rack recommendations? - want to haul 2 kayaks - fly rods etc
3. OME lift / ADD crawler kit - anyone have input or feedback how these improve stock ride - worth the cost?
4. Not much on this rig needs sorting but I have a budget for fixes as needed....so
Any proactive mechanical fixes/upgrades to consider?

1. search the forum. plenty of info on the stock tire sizes. 31's will fit and there's even room for 33's.
2. most roof racks are the same. ideally you want to keep to 50#s or less up there to avoid being top heavy in an off camber situation. or even taking a turn too fast and clipping the curb. with that limitation most racks will fit the bill. If you're looking at a roof top tent just make sure whatever rack you get will handle the weight.
3. not worth the cost unless your building up your rig and need extra suspension for increased weight. If that's the end game OME is the way to go. don't go more than the mediums as the heavy duty springs are way too stiff. otherwise a simple lift can be done with Gen 2 SR springs from a junkyard and cranking up the torsion bars. That gets you an 1.5". You can also use the stock springs and get a daystar lift for a toyota, but the SR springs will carry more weight and are progressive rate. A cheap body lift can be done with hockey pucks from amazon. They're an inch thick and solid rubber. You'll spend more on new bolts than you will on the pucks and you'll spend less than $50 for everything. Just drill out the centers.

The 31"s will fit no problems. There is a tire fitment thread in here somewhere. Pro-active stuff. All fluid changes, using lubricants as directed by the FSM. Such as GL4 for the Manual trans. Mitsubishi or Hyundai Auto trans fluid if an automatic. A complete cooling system flush using Thermocure anddistilled water, emptying out via the blocks water drains. Fit a new OEM radiator cap and thermostat. You really want to be proactive, get the radiator rodded and cleaned. Don't let anyone talk you into a crappy plastic and aluminum radiator. There's a start
^^^All of this.^^^ Clean your grounds. Check the fan clutch. Don't forget the fuel filter. If you have a sunroof, blow out the drains. You can use an air hose into the hose drains that come out of the bottom of the body at the pillars.Lastly, buy some ShinEtsu Grease for the door seals. It'll make them new again with repeated applications. It's amazing stuff.
