After running through the mud at the badlands, thoroughly soaking th Alt on my 2.6 several times. I've had no trouble at all. Origianl alt too, with 139K on her.

heh.. my alternator is in a really strange place as I type this... my lap!

but on the 2.8L troopers it's up on top of the engine FWIW smile

Does anyone know how many amps the stock 1991, 2.8L alternator is? (auto trans, air conditioning)

2.8 Auto with A/C is 105 amps. Mounted on top. Handles my 4x100 watt lights. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
