has anyone here had any personal experience with this product on their trooper? it looks like a great idea. i found some earlier post on this topic but it read more like it was a suggestion or a possiblity rather than first hand experience. i also found the 'offroad.com' article but it was rear facing and on a 1st gen. if i got one, it would go in a '01 trooper and probably have to be front facing.
i'd appreciate any input.
thanks, jsanford

Got one six months after I got my truck and mounted it front facing. Construction is very good and the fabric is very close to factory. Kids like the seat. Only down side is that it eats up space when the truck is used for hauling but the company does have a foldable one now which I think would be better(though I'm not sure if they offer headrest for that model).

Any pics?
I'd like to explore the feasability of replacing the rear bench seat in the amigo for a 3rd seat in the middle. I'd like to have the option to carry at least one other pasanger and gain some extra cargo space.

I currently don't have a picture but the vendor site does show both models.

thanks. pinoy, with the seat facing forward, how much room is there between the 3rd and the 2nd row (legroom) and how much storage space is left in the back? (best guess-tament will do). i see from the pictures that when it is rear facing it is placed directly between the wheel wells. where is it placed facing foward?
again, appreciating the input.

I wrote a product review on mine a few years back @ http://www.off-road.com/isuzu/womb_seat.htmlIt has been a terrific product, but does eat up a lot of volume, would be a real bugger to remove, and does not fold down. That said, seat for 8 rules. That many more little ones to recruit into "whoa whoa" roads and the fun of offroad. s

yes, the extra seating capacity is very inticing. actually, wombat, when i was shopping for suvs (this past spring), your article(s) gave me just one more reason to go with the trooper.

Hey Jsanford,
Since you don't have that many posts I thought maybe you might not know about the "edit" feature on your post. You and the moderators have the ability to edit your post, so if you make a mistake and want to correct it or add some additional info just click on the Edit icon on top of your post. It's cool that you posted again and corrected yourself, half of us on here probably didn't even know you spelled it wrong , I just thought I'd share a little knowledge.
Cheers! Ryan

Unfortunately, not exactly going to fit in the back of the Amigo, and not really what I had in mind. I was looking towards one of the "jump seats" found in some of the older model troopers. later, D
