I'll plead the fifth

....I used to work for a company that was a contractor for the NPS/DOI. I traveled around to national parks hooking up their computer systems and training their personnel on our software, and did app testing when I was stuck in my cubi . I ended up leaving my position to be able to spend more time with my daughter while my girlfriend finishes college (only 2 more semesters )
So now I'm almost 23, and working night audit/payroll at a (very decent) hotel in the area (anyone going I-68 through Cumberland - PM me and I'll hook you up I write a little for our local free press, and help out with irisstudios.com -though we're currently in the process of redoing the site.

In the interest of all the high tech sounding positions....

I am, and have been, the chief domestic engineer and lead in adolescent development with a very small firm here in Kirkland, WA.(a stay at home dad of two).

Soon I will be leaving the daily development decisions and executions of strategy to a professional firm and returning to the workforce as an electrician(the kids head for daycare and I get to go earn some play money!).

But the 1st wife wouldn't hear of it. She had that position nested and wasn't about to religate it to me. I always wanted to! Really! So I stayed with my job with the Electric Company.
I'm jealous.

This has been a great topic to read through and get to know everyone a little more. I guess I'll throw my .02 into the pot...

I fix commercial kitchen equipment, or what I prefer to be called: Certified Restaurant Equipment Repair Technician. I've been doing this for about 6 years now, and most of the time I really enjoy my job. Weekends off and the pay is decent, but the hours can be insane during the summer. 8 or 9 am till 10 or 11 at night... but you have to work while the money is rollin' in!

Take care guys, and keep up the postings!

Ok my turn,
I am a tech support shift lead (though I do the work of a manager) for a hotel corp. I've been here for almost three years.

I'm also a full time student starting on my bachelors for business admin (maybe this time I'll finish ).

I'm a new dad too and staying very busy being one.

P.S.
Just my luck my company has no hotels near Moab, Tellico, Buena Vista, CO so no free night stays.

For a little while longer, I work on the litigation that came out of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill (I work for the good guys, though when I talk to them I'm a little confused as to why we consider salty old fishermen good).

Soon I'll be moving to the other Washington to start my career in International Security/Intelligence Analysis, which is what I learned in school.

By the way, anyone here in the Naval Reserve? If you are, email me, I wanna pick your brain.

I'm a Process Operator at a Califronia Oil refinery. 24/7 operations, 12 hour shifts is the pits.

I "boil the oil" to create various products.

Bit I don't set the prices...
