I didn't jump in the last time this thread went around, but here it is...

I'm a Labor Relations Manager for the U.S. Postal Service, representing management in disciplinary actions, grievances, EEO claims and the occasional Federal lawsuit filed by a disgruntled employee. We've got 800+ employees/2 unions/27 Stewards in our 24/7 Mail Processing facility. So I'm on call - all the time.

I've been doing this for years and still like it. Maybe due in part to the wonders of modern pharmacology (J/K), but primarily because I believe in the majority of our employees who are dedicated and give 110% everyday to deliver the mail.

The "Wire" is my much needed escape when I need a brief break from the chaos, and for that I'm thankful.


If you go to the Zoo, always take something to feed the animals - even if the signs say "Do Not Feed The Animals". It wasn't the animals that put up those signs!
