I'm so sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, I don't have any new suggestions for you, but wanted to chime in with those who have said that it doesn't mean you have to leave the board.

It's a long story, but my car was totalled, and a friend who rebuilds cars has been trying to find me a Trooper or a Toyota 4Runner or Tundra ever since.
