I have ALL sorts of expensive gift ideas for myself for Christmas, but I do poorly at the 'bout-a-hunnert (or smaller) gift ideas that won't sticker-shock the relatives.

Let's brainstorm -- I bet that this could work out well for all of us...

Now by the rules of the forum, we need to stay 4x4-related, but that really isn't all that limiting...

LED flashlight(s) - links to follow?

aluminum fairlead - http://www.allprooffroad.com/winches.html 909-658-7077

compact pocket knife with side-clip (ideally plastic-framed, single-blade, less than three inches blade length, prefer one-hand openable)

ratcheting combination wrenches (metric and/or SAE -- sears has a set called 'GearWrench)

There's a start...

Santa, you lissenin'?

I'd second the Sears gift card. I can always find tools I need, or just want.

Other things for under $100, not really sure who we're buying for though. Hopefully they are a wheeler, if so here ya go:

CB setup
Flowmaster muffler
Body lift (maybe just a little over)
Some Herc (Keep it away from your Hootus)
K&N drop in
Tow hooks
High lift jack
Nice pair of KC's (or the brand of your choice)
Rubber floor mats (for the wife's vehicle)
Remote starter (for the wife's vehicle)
Nice big snap strap

Now who's gonna buy all this stuff for me?
I'm sure I can think of more just not right now.

I'm thinkin some Indy4x gift certs would work well for me, as well as the usual sears and home depot cards i got last year. Oh and a set of diamond cut APC headlights for my tow rig would sure be nice. My stock lenses are so yellowed i cant even tell if they are on or not. hmmm what else. gift certs for discount tire would be cool, dunno if they exist or not. And the big Sticker Shocker a JD2 tube bender sure would be nice hint hint, nudge

I got to cheat and got one of my Christmas presents early from my wife. She was sweet enough to go to Sears and get me one of the 3D Sanders that are being advertised right now. It's mostly going to do woodwork for me, but I'm thinkin' that it'd be great for body panels and other odd little nooks and crannies. Great flexibility. Grand total? ~$50. And a set of 102 varied pads is $15.

Body Damage is Cool
I too would go for indy4x or DOR gift cards, but as far as christmas for my truck, I need a front drive line and some shocks for the sas's beast.
