Consumption is closer to 1qt every 800-1000mi but that wasn't a choice

Roll Me Over
I don't want to vote wrong and screw up the poll, but I'd like to know the result.

93 Isuzu Amigo. 2.6L EFI
1 qt every 500 miles.
Front oil seal leak I'll hit up soon on the timing belt change.

[color:"white"]? 04 Rodeo DI ?[/color] 75k mi, body damage on the 1st weekend I got it.

My 3.2L engine must be tight as a drum. I change my oil every 5K miles and I do not have to add a drop in between. I check it everytime I fill up with gas just to be cautious.

I did not vote either. I have a 01 Trooper and it appears I have no oil loss. Mobil1 oil BTW.

I think an additional category of '0' might help provide a better picture of what everyones rides are performing at. My 99' Rodeo is a 0qt performer, I run castrol 10w30 all year.

Good poll though, it will be interesting to see what kind of results you come up with.

Body Damage is Cool
It might be nice to see the results broken down by engine size.

I'd also like to know why the 3.5 does use so much oil. Regardless of what Isuzu says, this isn't normal - AFAIK no other vehicle brand does this. "It's normal" is just a corporate cop-out to hide a problem. And where does it go? It's not being burned or leaked.

A friends 94 3.2 Trooper never did it, until he hit 80k mi or so. Mine's done it since day 1, and I only have 28k mi on it.

Other than that, and the not so great mpg, I love my Trooper.

My '02 has been using about 1 to 1.5qts/3000mi, but I've only got 9800mi on it so far. Have been using synthetics, mostly amsoil & royal purple 5w-30. I will be changing to conventional/dino 10w-30 (which is what the owners manual recommends for the 2002 3.2L) from here on out. Synthetics are just not worth the $$ for 3000mi oil change intervals.
