I'm with you, in that I've not had any other Japanese engine use oil either - but then again, these were all 4 banger car engines. My 2002 has about the same oil use rate as yours, but I havenÆt owned it long enough yet to experiment with different oils & viscosities + I only have 11Kmi on it. As far as the 7500mi drain interval goes, I'm not sure I'd go that long - especially with conventional (non-synthetic) oil. Most conventional oils turn into some nasty stuff in under 5000 miles of use. As you have probably seen in other posts, Isuzu wont do anything for you unless your truck uses more than one quart of oil in 1000 miles. G/luck
