It should only cost $8-$12 per wheel. Take in the wheel and have them "match mount" the wheel to the rim and re balance. If your wheel "hops" then it is likely out-of-round tire or rim and could be compensated if mounted properly and then balanced. Again if sears can only do a "static and/or Dynamic" balance you'll never get rid of the vibe.

Got the Troop back from the tire shop, took it out for a test run... vibe is gone! . I think the key in my situation was what IggyB calls lug-centric balancing The shop I went to had a Hunter GSP9700 info here which was equiped to do lug-centric balancing. First they checked the rim and found it to be perfect (when spun on the lug pattern) The tire was also good, so they just balanced it on the GSP9700, put it back on the truck and sent me on my way. Total cost= $13 & change. Well anyway I'm happy now.

Jared,

Thanks for posting your results on the "road force balance". I got my dealer to agree to pay to have this done to my Rodeo, this Saturday. I'll post the result.

Jared,

Had my (stock) Rodeo tires balanced on a Hunter GPS9700, and my vibration is gone, too. The process takes little longer than a normal dynamic balance. I'm glad my dealer payed for it, since Les Schwab charges $20/tire, at least here in No. Cal. If I can find someone to do it for a more reasonable price, I'll likely have the wife's car done, too.

Thanks again for posting your results!

Glad to hear it worked for you as well. Go Here to find all the locations in your area that have the GSP9700, that's what I did. Then I called each one and asked for their price, went to the cheapest one. There was a place here also that charged $20/tire. But their was a Big O dealer about 60 miles away that charges $8.50/tire. My local Big O has a GSP9700 on order.

I also had this annoyance on my rodeo, and although it cost me $70 to have it done, it felt awesome.. I have now been 10K miles or so, so it is overdue to be rotated.. Keep in mind they have to be touched up every time they rotate them, so the same place that did the roadforce, will have to rotate them... Good Luck, glad I found out about the road force too!
Any info on this.. Mine is beginning to do this again, but I was told before my shox were bad, and needed to be replaced, would this make any shake worse?
