I was going over a 2.6L engine, which I was told was a 1991, and notice the oil drain plug was 14 x 1.50. The auto shop book mentioned the drain plug for that year was 14 x 1.25. Now. either the book was wrong or I got a earlier engine and the auto-wrecker was wrong. Oh, BTT the engine is in and the compression is what I was told. Around ~150 accoss all the cyln.

I believe mine is 14 x 1.25 also.. I know that is the size/pitch for the air galley holes in the head and the spark plugs holes.. Don't have my manuals handy to check for sure though..sorry

While I had some free time at work (Sundays are slow for auto parts businesses), I looked up the drain plug for the 2.6. It's a 14m x 1.50.

I do not remember what it mentioned about 90.

Ya I looked under my truck, so that would be for an 89 2.6. If it gets slow enough this morning, I'll try to take a look and see what the different years are. I find it kind of hard to believe that they would use a different pitch plug for different years. Just doesn't make sense for cost effectiveness. Maybe that's why Isuzu's going down the drain. Well, maybe that and poor advertising, but that's a different story there.

Alright, I had some off time at work this morning so I decided to check and see what it said. All years, all models, any 2.6 made by Isuzu has a 14m x 1.50 drain plug.
